Interest for energy conservation is growing in parallel with the development of exciting new lighting technologies. The time is right to address the fundamental needs regarding lighting, and to master the general Total Ownership Cost of lighting scenarios. Join us in welcoming Marc Fontoynont who will present the latest research findings as well as some interesting designs from around the globe. Marc Fontoynont, is Professor at ENTPE (National Engineering School of State Public Works, in Lyon, France.). He is also Vice President of the International Lighting Commission (CIE, Commission Internationale de l’Eclairage, Vienna, Austria), First Vice President of the French Lighting Association (AFE, Paris) and Vice President of the French Lighting Cluster (Lyon, France), bringing together industry, professionals and research to speed up development in lighting. Mr. Fontoynont, has been involved in lighting research since 1981, a time he was staff scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Berkeley, California. He moved back to France in 1983 and created a lighting research group at the National Engineering School of State Public Works, in Lyon, France.
