Lighting Basics for Revit

Event:
Lighting Basics for Revit
Speaker:
Sean Avery
Description:

With the increasing demand for integrated design, many projects are utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) to help assist the integrated design process. BIM offers some advantages over traditional CAD, but also presents a major shift in the way we utilize CAD.

Join us for a 90 minute seminar on the basics of Revit for lighting professionals. Included in the seminar will be the basics of families and family creation, linked file setup, creating intelligent lighting fixture schedules, automatic lighting calculations, and general lighting design tasks. The seminar will focus primarily on Revit MEP, but many of the concepts will work for Revit Architecture as well.

Following the seminar will be a 30 minute open discussion on typical dilemmas and lessons learned in previous Revit projects.
